I'm Debbie Greenwood, but most people call me Debs.
Thank you for taking the time to find out a little more about me.
People often ask how Liaise began, but the truth is, it didn't begin with a business plan.
It began with a belief.
A belief that when people are trusted, supported and encouraged to believe in themselves, extraordinary things can happen.
Why Liaise Exists
Like many people, my career wasn't carefully planned.
I was a single mum who needed to find a job to support my family. When I was offered a role as an IT Trainer, I had absolutely no experience. Clearly, someone saw something in me that I hadn't yet seen in myself.
Little did I know, I had just discovered a career that I would love.
More than thirty years later, I've had the privilege of working in Learning and Organisational Development, helping people build confidence, develop new skills and build careers they love.
During that time, I've worked alongside inspiring leaders, supported people through change, watched organisations flourish by putting people first, and seen the lasting damage poor leadership can cause when people are treated as resources rather than human beings.
Every experience has taught me something.
Some showed me the kind of leader I wanted to become.
Others showed me exactly the kind of leader I never wanted to be.
My own journey hasn't always been straightforward either.
Like many people, there have been times when my confidence disappeared into a very dark place.
Rebuilding it didn't happen overnight. It happened one step at a time through learning, reflection, courage and a growing realisation that the future I wanted wasn't going to land in my lap. If I wanted it, I had to create it.
That experience changed me.
It made me more resilient, more self-aware and more determined to help other people discover what they're capable of and find work that gives them purpose, confidence and the opportunity to flourish.
That's what Liaise is really about.
Helping people believe in themselves a little more than they did yesterday.
Everything I create—whether it's leadership development, executive coaching, team development or supporting someone taking their very first step into leadership—is built around a few simple beliefs.
People deserve to be treated with respect.
Great cultures are created intentionally and nurtured every day.
Leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility.
And when people flourish, organisations flourish too.
